Meet the artist behind the magic – Helen Love is a caring and compassionate soul, once a paramedic, now channeling creativity to craft unique and usable artworks. Driven by personal experiences with mental health, each creation is a testament to resilience and self-expression.

Helen has always been a versatile creator in various art forms – historically she was painting, drawing and printmaking. Although art has always held a special place in her heart, her journey began in caring for severely disabled children and adults until she transitioned to become a paramedic in 2012.
The years of providing care in challenging moments took a toll, leading to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. In 2020, after two years off the road and being unable to work, Helen medically retired. Throughout years of therapies, treatments, and a profound dedication to creating, she discovered a unique way to continue caring for people – channeling her creativity into meaningful creations other women can wear to express their fabulous selves. “The creative process helps my journey to recovery. It is where I can be in a flow state, be in the present moment and feel productive and useful. My last line of work left me with severe anxiety and a total lack of confidence – the joy of creating helps me out of that space.
My artwork has developed and transformed over the last few years to include my need to repurpose and up-cycle, my passion for fashion and a love of crafting beautiful interior spaces. The A-Ha! moment came when I wore my creations – a visual anthem declaring confidence, beauty, and elegance, with a subtle warning: ‘Don’t Mess!’ Explore the curated pieces that embody this journey and the empowering joy of embracing one’s true self.”

“For years, eco-anxiety gripped me, leading to behaviours like turning off taps mid-brush, zealously switching off lights and fans in vacant rooms, and meticulously sorting through bins to ensure proper recycling. Repurposing and up-cycling have become integral to every facet of my life. Though my habits persist, I’ve found a sense of peace, letting go of the tension. Now, I embrace the philosophy of doing what I can, when I can, fostering a more tranquil relationship with my environmental efforts.
